The Ocean Agency was appointed by the French Government as official coordinators of Year of the Reef. It's a huge honor and a opportunity that needed a big idea.
2018 is arguably the pivotal year for coral reefs – the ecosystem on the front-line of climate change that supports half a billion people and a quarter of all marine life. We are rapidly running out of time to them and we won’t get a better opportunity than this year – the year they are in the global spotlight.
Our plan is to make this global spotlight as bright as possible by working with the film industry’s leading creative talent. We're planning to make it a blockbuster year!
There’s a growing excitement that saving reefs is now possible, despite all the doom and gloom – a message we want to be heard loud and clear. We plan to turn this excitement into the action and investment that's needed and with partners like the UN Environment, Google, and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation we off to a great start.
